The Role

The Property Officer role supports the Property Managers in Victoria and Queensland in
relation to management of the on-line property maintenance scheduling and compliance
system and general administrative responsibilities. The role requires a high level of
flexibility and willingness to assist in whatever tasks are necessary.

The primary role is to manage the electronic maintenance system. This work will involve
ensuring that all scheduled maintenance and reactive maintenance is attended to within the
scheduled timelines by external contractors or internal MiCare staff and that records of all
maintenance are filed appropriately. The role will include maintaining compliance records
( insurances, police and WWCC checks) and uploading contractor reports into
the system.

Key Result Areas

• Demonstrated ability to ensure that preventative maintenance is undertaken within the
  scheduled timeframes
• Ensure that all property records and compliance documents are current in the
  maintenance system.
• Assist end users with property enquiries/issues.
• Effective teamwork and ability to work with internal staff and external contractors.
• Willingness to assist in a wide range of matters in a collegiate and proactive manner

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

• A certificate level (or higher) or Trade relevant to building and grounds maintenance
  preferred by not essential.

Experience

•  Good working knowledge of property (or other similar) scheduling and associated
  activities practices.

Essential skills

• Previous experience in a similar role with demonstrated knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
• Good ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
• Accuracy and a keen eye for detail

The Role

The main objective of this role is to manage all aspects of the Victorian retirement village portfolio in accordance with the Retirements Villages Act 1986 (Vic) and the Retirement Villages Amendment Act 2025, resident agreements and other relevant legislative requirements, along with MiCare policies and procedures.

Retirement Villages

• Manage service delivery across MiCare’s Victorian retirement villages in accordance with legislative requirements, resident agreements and financial budgets.
• Ensure maximum occupancy is maintained for each village.
• With the support of Marketing, promote the Victorian villages across relevant media platforms and relevant audiences.
• Maintain an activities timetable that provides residents with a wide range of opportunities for social and physical activities.
• Promote other MiCare services across the villages, including Support at Home and MiMeals.
• In conjunction with Marketing, contribute to a monthly newsletter for each village.
• Attend resident committee meetings and ensure minutes are made available to all village residents.
• Adhere to MiCare’s operational policies and procedures. Understand resident agreements and the translation of those into operations and services which meet or exceed resident expectations.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the Retirement Villages Act 1986 (Vic) and the Retirement Villages Amendment Act 2025.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the resident agreements at each of the villages.
• Manage customer relationships, liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations.
• Liaise with, and answer enquiries from individuals and other organisations.
• Maintain and update customer databases.
• Resolve conflict and manage complaints consistent with MiCare’s policies and procedures.
• Suggest and recommend improvements consistent with MiCare’s quality improvement processes.
• Complete monthly reports on the performance and activities for the villages.
• Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by managing all safety issues associated with the services delivered at the villages
• Maintain an awareness of the retirement village sector by attending events such as conferences, seminars, webinars, open days and exhibitions.
• Write articles for magazines, newsletters, and annual reports.

• Engage and communicate with clients in their home, and other stakeholders such as family members 
• Monitor and report any physical, emotional or behavioural changes/concerns as per MiCare processes and in a timely manner
• Effective management of communication channels with all stakeholders, including escalating significant events to Service Coordination/Team Leader

About you

• Previous experience in cleaning with an eye for detail and high standards of service delivery.
• Physically able to undertake repetitive tasks.
• Ability to travel and be flexible/responsive to client and organisational needs
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, whilst accepting direction as required.

The Senior Volunteer Coordinator – Victoria is responsible for the supporting the oversight and performance of the volunteer visiting programs across Victoria, ensuring alignment to MiCare’s strategic objectives, values, and compliance obligations.

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of MiCare’s visiting volunteer programs. The Role

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of MiCare’s visiting volunteer programs. The role focuses on reducing social isolation for older people, particularly those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, by recruiting, onboarding, supporting and matching volunteer visitors.

The position ensures program compliance, achievement of key performance indicators, and delivery of high-quality, culturally appropriate services aligned with MiCare values of Trust, Empowerment, Flexibility, Harmony and Empathy.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Work or a related discipline (or equivalent experience in volunteer coordination)

Experience

• Experience in coordinating volunteer programs or similar community-based initiatives
• Experience working in aged care, community services or migrant services
• Experience managing programs with KPIs, reporting requirements and stakeholder engagement

We are seeking an experienced Care Manager to lead clinical and care delivery within our residential aged care service. Working alongside the Facility Manager, you will drive high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring strong clinical governance, compliance, and positive resident outcomes.

The successful incumbent confident and compassionate leader with strong clinical expertise and the ability to influence, motivate, and develop teams. They will bring a proactive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a genuine passion for aged care.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Lead and support clinical and care teams
• Oversee care planning, delivery, and evaluation
• Drive quality, compliance, and accreditation outcomes
• Monitor clinical indicators, incidents, and continuous improvement
• Mentor, develop, and manage staff performance
• Collaborate with residents, families, and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA registration
• Qualifications in management, health, or a related discipline (highly regarded)
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates

• Extensive experience in residential aged care, including senior or leadership roles
• Strong clinical background with demonstrated experience in clinical governance
• Proven experience managing teams and driving performance outcomes
• In-depth knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience with aged care funding (ACFI/AN-ACC) and compliance frameworks
• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and risk management systems

• Strong leadership and people management capability
• Ability to drive high-quality clinical and care outcomes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Sound judgement and ability to respond effectively to incidents and complex situations
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively
• Commitment to person-centred, culturally sensitive care
• Ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives
• Intermediate to advanced computer and reporting skills
