The Role We are seeking a dedicated Enrolled Nurse to provide high-quality, person-centred care to our Elders. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will monitor residents’ health, administer medications, and contribute to the development of care plans. This is a rewarding opportunity to apply your clinical skills and make a meaningful impact in a supportive team environment. Responsibilities:
Provide care within the Enrolled Nurse scope of practice in accordance with professional and organisational standards. Observe, monitor, document, and report any changes in Residents health status and ensure appropriate follow-up care. Administer medications under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Apply contemporary nursing knowledge and professional judgement to deliver person-centred care. Communicate effectively and collaboratively with the care team, providing timely and accurate information to support evidence-based care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation using relevant information management systems. Assist in the formulation and implementation of care plans, collecting data on the health and functional status of Residents. Maintain clinical expertise and support the training and development of staff, including those in trainee programs.
What We’re Looking For - Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Diploma of Nursing or equivalent nursing qualification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NMBA Enrolled Nurse Practice Standards.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and related documentation for Aged Care Funding (ACFI/AN-ACC).
- Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and evaluation skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, person-centred care to frail and/or cognitively impaired Residents and their families.
- Flexible, empathetic, and patient approach to care delivery.
- Capacity to work in a culturally sensitive and ethno-specific environment, upholding the Eden Alternative philosophy and its 10 principles.
