Systems and Reporting Accountant
Full time permanent

 

About the role ...

 

The Systems & Reporting Accountant will be responsible for the development of organisational-wide reporting, including monthly and annual financial reporting, employee reporting, compliance reporting, client analysis and Ad hoc reporting. The position will draw information from various systems and have the capacity to manipulate it in order to provide managers with meaningful and accurate reports to assist in decision making. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Use Business Intelligence applications (e.g. Microsoft Power BI) to create reports that combine information from a variety of systems.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process from a reporting perspective.
  • Support the monthly financial reporting requirements.
  • Support the grant application process across the organisation
  • Support compliance reporting requirements (including acquittals) across the organisation.
  • Assisting with review of system configurations, optimisation of financial software/systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Home Care, Residential Services) to integrate data, develop solutions.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent knowledge and skill in Microsoft Power BI.
  • Ability to think laterally, be proactive and establish reporting solutions.
  • An organised and methodical approach to systems and documentation.
  • Proficiency in creating user manuals, process maps, and system documentation.
  • Strong understanding of system back-end configurations.
  • Experience in report creation, form design, and dashboard development.
  • Experience within the aged care sector and/or a grant funded not-for-profit sector.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong IT understanding and Skills around Client Management Systems.
