About the role Reporting to the Manager Volunteers, you will coordinate the recruitment, orientation and ongoing training of volunteers for clients in accordance with program guidelines and procedures, as well as assisting with client assessments. There will be travelling involved both across Victoria metropolitan and state-wide. - Coordinate volunteer activities and provide ongoing support to the team across Victoria, ensuring the delivery of high-quality volunteer services.
- Program statistical data is accurately collected, reported, and presented within agreed timeframes.
- Maintain the program within the approved budget allocation, ensuring responsible use of resources.
- Actively participate in program enhancement and strategic planning to improve volunteer services and align with organizational goals.
- Establish and maintain networks and community links, collaborating with relevant service providers to strengthen volunteer engagement and opportunities.
- Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with current program guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other relevant duties as directed, contributing to the effective operation and success of the volunteer program.
About you - Experience working with volunteers, older people and/or carer support
- A working knowledge of volunteerism in aged care services, and the community services sector
- Comfortable with change and demonstrated experience managing process improvements
- Ability to travel across MiCare locations and to community sites within Victoria
Qualifications - A Certificate/Diploma in community services aged care or social services.
- Willingness to undertake a police check
- Valid Victorian drivers licence, comprehensively insured and roadworthy vehicle
- Evidence of current influenza and full Covid-19 vaccinations
