The Role The Physiotherapist is expected to demonstrate current knowledge and best practice across all aspects of day-to-day clinical tasks. The role requires a motivated and experienced professional who is flexible, adaptable, and possesses strong interpersonal skills that support a collaborative approach to quality service delivery. Key responsibilities include: • Ensuring the effective delivery of clinical services through professional and technical expertise. • Supporting staff inductions and buddy shifts. • Participating in student supervision and education. • Providing additional support to clinicians as directed by the Facility Manager
What We’re Looking For Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent • Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Experience • Demonstrated Knowledge of Aged Care Services and relevant legislation • Understanding Older Persons Care • Demonstrated knowledge of Person- Centred Care • Understanding of Manual Handling Requirements • Understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements • Ensure all documentation complies with the Aged Care Quality Standards • Comply with all current MiCare policies and procedures including aged care legislation and Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) requirements • Previous experience in aged care preferred
Essential skills • Ability to assess, diagnose, treat conditions related to body movement and function • Ability to prevent or manage disease and disability through movement and exercise • Ability to administer a range of treatments to alleviate pain and restore function • The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specificenvironment. • A preparedness to work to the 10 principles of the Eden Alternative philosophy. • Self-motivated with a flexible, caring and patient attitude. • Ability to effectively manage time
