About the role This is a new and exciting leadership position within MiCare to drive a mission focused, financially sustainable operation with a focus on best care for our clients, across multiple programmes in the home care setting. Reporting to the General Manager, Aged and Migrant Services, this role is responsible for leading the day-to-day management of the Home Support management team, based in Victoria and Queensland. This role is pivotal at driving performance, fostering change management, leading teams and fostering positive relationships across the business and our stakeholders. We are seeking a highly passionate, engaging, and experienced leader to work cross functional teams in Home Support Programs including Commonwealth Home Support (CHSP), Home Care Package (HCP), Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACCV) Care Finder and Carer Support programs. The role will be responsible for providing the highest professional standard of service, whilst driving growth and opportunity. This role will: - Provide leadership to staff to achieve the standards and goals of the program areas whilst ensuring financial viability and operational sustainability.
- Maintain a collaborative and communicative approach with managers, staff, and contractors (where necessary) to ensure proper operations of the program areas.
- Implement maintain and review quality assurance protocols and develop programs where gaps are identified.
- Ensure a continuous improvement approach to increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance MiCare’s internal capacity.
- Coordinate the activities of the programs of MiCare within budget allocation and provide input into MiCare’s future strategic planning process, ensuring that programs are maintained within budget.
Ensure and drive consistent compliance with Current Program guidelines across all Home Support Programs and participate in program evaluation. - Drive effective and collaborative relationships with relevant service providers and develop networks and community links.
About you We are seeking someone to join the MiCare team who has: - A demonstrated understanding of the legislation, regulations and requirements and issues affecting aged care, specifically within the Home Care environment.
- Strong skills in budget development and oversight, with demonstrated experience in financial reporting.
- Excellent ability to lead cross functional and remote teams, through appropriate delegation, while maintaining organisational control of branch operations and customer service.
- Proficiency in business development, conflict management and business negotiation processes and tendering.
- Ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner, with a strong customer service focus for MiCare elders and their families.
Qualifications - Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in operational management including human resources, people leadership & motivation, budgeting, service delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in health, social sciences, operations management, business administration, or related field

This role requires applicants to provide a current police check, NDIS check and working with children check. This role is also considered to be Key Personnel, as an inherent requirement of the role. The incumbent will also need to provide and hold a valid driver’s licence and the ability to work across all MiCare locations.
