Project Officer - Fixed Term Part-time
Mon-Wed - 7 months Parental leave at either Carrum Downs, or Kilsyth and WFH

The Role

The Project Officer engages with all areas of MiCare to drive a quality culture that ensures a high standard of care is maintained for the clients and communities that we support. To support a culture of quality and compliance in regards to cultural diversity, inclusion and safeguarding across MiCare. Working closely with the Executive Director, General Manager Aged and Migrant Services, MiCare Migrant Services management and staff across all key service areas, MiCare clients and their representatives, Government departments as required, Key Stakeholders and Industry networks.

 

What We’re Looking For

Key Result Areas

  • Delivering on MiCare’s Diversity, Inclusion and Safeguarding Action Plan
  • Developing and Delivering MiCare’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
  • Internal quality improvement and training delivery
  • Development and submission of relevant funding applications

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. policy, social work)

Experience

  • At least three years previous experience in community services sector
  • Experience engaging with migrant and refugee communities
  • Experience in the delivery of service improvement and workplace policy
  • High level of experience in the monitoring and evaluation of quality outcomes
  • Highly developed project management skills and experience
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines with attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and with others in a participative and supportive manner
  • Sound computer literacy and proficiency in use of Microsoft Office
  • Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid project management skills, excellent time management
  • Ability to draw upon industry research, analyse practices and keep up to date with new initiatives.
  • The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment

To be considered for this role you must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or permanent resident. The successful applicant must satisfactorily complete all pre-employment checks, including National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS.
